Impressive (better not stay iPhone long) App of the Day: After 2-1/2 years of development, Quest Visual has finally launched “Word Lens,” an iPhone app capable of translating signs in real-time.
QuestVisual founder Otavio Good explains:
It tries to find out what the letters are and then looks in the dictionary. Then it draws the words back on the screen in translation. The translation isn’t perfect, but it gets the point across.
